About the Author

     Tina Matlock’s was born in  Preston, Oriente, Cuba. She came to the United States in September of 1960. 

     Once in the States, the family integrated quickly into the mainstream. There was little Spanish spoken in the household as prime importance was placed on becoming American.

Tina has served as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Space Coast Writers’ Guild .  She has written several short stories, one released to her English professor for inclusion in his textbook. She has published several works of poetry. She has taken many college-level writing courses and participates in monthly workshops conducted by a professional editor and attended by published authors. Her other creative endeavors include oil painting and gemology. Tina has Bachelor and Masters Degrees in mathematics and computer science. Guava and Cheese is her first novel.
